Overview:

  • Working with our long-term clients, BackLash Agency for the brand Thayers (Facial Tonic)

  • Objective: Create an engaging photo opportunity and interactive experience for summer festival activations

  • Event Locations: Boardmasters & All Points East

  • Results: The activation was a hit with festival-goers, generating high levels of interaction and social media shares, and Thayers was extremely pleased with the execution, as it successfully brought their product directly to consumers in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

Project Highlights:

  • Designed and constructed a large-scale photo opportunity, replicating Thayers' iconic red bottle cap.

  • The structure measured an impressive 2.9 meters in height and width, split in half to create a unique backdrop. A branded print was applied to the back of the cap for added visual impact.

  • Other features included a branded surfboard, branded barrels to store the samples, signage, and a prize wheel.

  • Festival-goers were given themed props to use in their photos.

  • A spin-the-wheel activity allowed participants to win free samples and capture memorable moments.

Logistical Challenges and Solutions:

  • Transportation: The main challenge was transporting the oversized structure from the workshop to the festival sites.

  • Solution: The structure was built to the maximum width allowable for transport without requiring an escort, optimizing costs and efficiency.

  • Installation: A Moffett forklift was utilized to unload and position the structure at the venues seamlessly.
