Carlsberg, The Danish Quarter

Activation Result…

In partnership with festival powerhouse Live Nation,, Better Green designed, built, and delivered the festival seasons stand out activation ‘The Danish Quarter’ for drinks legend Carlsberg.

Production:

  • The 40m by 40m stand was by far the largest activation at each of the 4 festivals it toured, including Latitude, Download, Reading, and Wireless.

  • The entire set was built from FSC-sourced larch timber with a 16m long bespoke copper bar. Branding was either also made from copper or we used pyrography to burn the logos direct to the timber.

  • The whole set was a modular design to enable efficient touring and multiple re-use. Indeed it was so successful that it went on to be used for a further 2x festival seasons, good value indeed.

Sustainability:

  • On de-commissioning, we were tasked to find a home for all the lovely larch timber and over the course of a year, we managed to break the set into usable stock and dispersed it throughout a number of local school and student building projects and indeed built a kids tree house for the local nursery!

The Danish quarter is certainly one of Better Green’s favourite projects.
